Why does glass weight matter so much to the price?
Twice. Heavier glass costs more per unit, and it costs more to ship — and on glass, freight is often a bigger share of landed cost than the jar. A lighter body that still feels substantial in the hand is one of the more reliable savings in this category, which is why we quote the freight structure separately rather than folding it into the unit price.
Can you match an existing jar exactly?
Send the drawing or a physical sample and we quote the same capacity, neck finish, weight and colour through factories tooled for that shape. If an exact match would need new tooling, we say so and price both options.
Do you supply the closures too?
Yes, and we would rather quote them together. Jar and closure are a system — the neck finish decides what fits — and sourcing them separately is how brands end up with a cap that seals badly or a lead time mismatch that holds up a launch.
What about breakage in transit?
It is a specification question before it is a freight question: pack format, divider construction and pallet pattern do most of the work. We quote the secondary packaging alongside the glass for exactly this reason.
